How to connect

Open Workspace → Connections.
Choose Square and press Connect.
Sign in to Square and approve the permissions PW asks for.
Choose the Square location your AI employee works for.
Back in PW, choose what each AI employee may do with the connection.

Approvals and trust

Reading never needs your approval. Anything your AI employee writes or sends lands in Needs review first, and you approve it there. As you approve more of an employee's work you can trust it with a kind of work, and from then on that work runs on its own. Some actions, like public posts, always wait for you.

Booking appointments for you needs Square Appointments Plus or Premium. On the free plan PW can only read.
Invoices wait for your approval before they are sent. PW cannot take a payment on an invoice.
Square's sign-in expires every 30 days and has to be renewed.

Questions

What will my AI employee do in Square?

Find open appointment times, book customers in, follow up when appointments change, look up customers and payments, and draft invoices. None of this is available yet.

Do I need a paid Square plan?

To let PW book appointments, yes: Square Appointments Plus or Premium. Reading customers, payments and appointments works on any plan.

Will it send invoices or book without asking me?

Invoices always wait for your approval. Bookings follow the trust ladder: they wait for your approval until you promote the employee.

What happens if I disconnect?

PW deletes its stored sign-in and stops reading and booking. Appointments and invoices already created stay in Square. You can also revoke PW in your Square dashboard.

Security and disconnecting

What PW keeps: The connected account's name and ID, the permissions you granted, and the sign-in tokens the provider issued. Never your password.
Encryption: Tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored and are only decrypted server-side at the moment an allowed action runs.
Disconnecting: Open Connections, choose the platform and press Disconnect. You can also remove PW's access from the provider's own app settings.
Deletion: Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens and switches off every permission for that account. Activity records stay in your audit log.
