How to connect
- Open Workspace → Connections.
- Choose Stripe and press Connect.
- Sign in to Stripe and approve the permissions PW asks for.
- Choose the Stripe account your business takes payments in.
- Back in PW, choose what each AI employee may do with the connection.
Approvals and trust
Reading never needs your approval. Anything your AI employee writes or sends lands in Needs review first, and you approve it there. As you approve more of an employee's work you can trust it with a kind of work, and from then on that work runs on its own. Some actions, like public posts, always wait for you.
How employees earn trustLimits

- PW never moves money on its own. Invoices and payment links wait for your approval, and every refund needs your approval.
- Stripe allows about 100 requests a second for your account.
- Stripe's normal fees apply to payments your customers make.
Questions
What will my AI employee do in Stripe?
Look up a customer's payments, see which invoices are unpaid, mark an invoice paid when the money arrives, and draft invoices and payment links. None of this is available yet.
Can it charge or refund my customers on its own?
No. Invoices and payment links are drafts until you approve them, and a refund needs your approval every time.
Is this the same Stripe account I pay PW with?
No. This connects the Stripe account your business uses to get paid. Your PW subscription is billed separately.
What happens if I disconnect?
PW deletes its stored access and stops reading payments. Invoices already sent stay in Stripe. You can also remove PW in your Stripe dashboard's connected apps settings.
Why might the connection fail?
Usually the Stripe account is not fully activated, or you signed in to a different Stripe account than the one you take payments in.
Security and disconnecting
- What PW keeps
- The connected account's name and ID, the permissions you granted, and the sign-in tokens the provider issued. Never your password.
- Encryption
- Tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored and are only decrypted server-side at the moment an allowed action runs.
- Disconnecting
- Open Connections, choose the platform and press Disconnect. You can also remove PW's access from the provider's own app settings.
- Deletion
- Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens and switches off every permission for that account. Activity records stay in your audit log.
